Arcadis renews UN-Habitat partnership

Civil engineering group Arcadis on Tuesday announced it is extending its partnership with UN-Habitat, the United Nations’ organisation for sustainable and social urban construction.

The partnership, known as Shelter, has been extended until the end of 2015.

Arcadis provides expertise and skills for UN-Habitat projects and also sponsors the World Urban Campaign.

Over the past three years, the Shelter programme has carried out 50 missions in Asia, Africa and Central America, in which around 120 Arcadis workers took part, the Telegraaf reports.

Arcadia is currently working with the Shelter programme in the Philippines to estimate the damage caused by typhoon Haiyan.
