Whirlwind rips through Dutch town
A whirlwind left a trail of damage over a two kilometre corridor in Wijk bij Duurstede, a small town southeast of Utrecht, on Saturday afternoon.
The whirlwind, which was filmed on numerous mobile phones, ripped up trees and damaged roofs and windows.
No-one was injured. Much of the damage was in a business park, where the front walls were ripped off buildings.

Other whirlwinds were also seen in the neighbourhood of Arnhem and Maurik, which also caused some damage.
NOS weatherman Peter Kuipers Munneke said there are whirlwinds in the Netherlands a couple of times a year. They are formed when cold upper air meets warmer winds close to the ground.
The weather will remain stormy on Monday.
