Fyra’s Amsterdam-Breda service to be renamed Intercity Direct

The high-speed train service between Amsterdam and Breda, operated by Fyra trains, is to be renamed the Intercity Direct service from next year.

In addition, the supplement for travelling between Rotterdam and Breda and Amsterdam and Schiphol will disappear, train operator NS Hispeed said on Wednesday. The supplement of €2.30 one-way will remain for Schiphol to Rotterdam services.

The Amsterdam-Breda high-speed Fyra service uses different trains than the Amsterdam-Brussels route, which was cancelled at the beginning of this year because of technical problems.
