Desmond Tutu, Bono among guests at memorial service for prince Friso
Archbishop Desmond Tutu, U2 singer Bono and designers Viktor & Rolf were among the 900 guests at a memorial service for prince Friso in Delft on Saturday.
Friso died on August 12 at the age of 44 after 18 months in a coma following a skiing accident.
The two-hour ceremony was also attended by former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan, prime minister Mark Rutte and a number of foreign royals as well as the Dutch royal family.

His funeral in August was a private affair in a small village church with family and a few close friends.
Friso had close connections with Delft. He married Mabel Wisse Smit in the church and studied aeronautical engineering at the university.
Princess Mabel and Friso’s brother king Willem-Alexander were among those who addressed the gathering, news agency ANP said.
Desmond Tutu and Kofi Annan were at the service in their capacity as members of global think-tank The Elders, where Mabel used to be chief executive.
