1.5 jobs is the popular option for working couples with kids

Couples with young children tend to split their working lives into one full-timer and one part-timer, the national statistics office CBS said on Monday.

Over half of couples adopt the 1.5 breadwinner model, the same percentage as in 2008, the CBS said.

Almost 25% of couples with one child include one stay-at-home partner, half the 1996 total. Both parents work full time in just 8% of couples.
