Inflation reaches 12-month low

Inflation in September fell 0.2 percentage point to 2.4%, its lowest point in 12 months, according to national statistics office CBS.

The drop is largely due to cheaper clothing and petrol prices, the CBS said.

According to harmonised European calculations, the Dutch rate is also 2.4%, down 0.4 percentage point on August. The eurozone average fell 0.2 percentage point to 1.1%.
