The KNMI weather bureau on Monday morning warned motorists to beware of mist and fog over large parts of the country.

Only Noord Holland and Zeeland provinces have escaped the mist, the KNMI said. In many places, visibility is down to 200 metres and in some as little as 50 metres.

The mist will later make way for sun over much of the country. There may be further mist on Monday night and Tuesday morning. Tuesday will also be sunny but the rain will return on Wednesday, the KNMI said.
