Dutch exports of broccoli soared 40% last year, due to mounting demand from Britain, Belgium and Luxemburg according to the vegetable marketing board.
In total, the Netherlands exported over five million kilos of broccoli in 2012. Dutch farmers grow some 19 million kilos of broccoli each summer.
