Defence minister joins Gay Pride parade
Defence minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert will be on board her ministry’s boat during the Gay Pride parade in Amsterdam on Saturday.
It is the first time a defence minister has joined the parade and is designed to show that the ministry is an equal opportunities employer.
Earlier this month it was announced that for the first time a Dutch football association boat will take part. On board will be association chairman Michael van Praag and national team manager Louis van Gaal.
