Paedophile swimming teacher due for release but where will he live?

Swimming teacher Benno L, jailed in 2010 for abusing a number of girls in his care, is set to be given early release on Friday.

But according to his lawyer Pieter van der Kruijs in the Brabants Dagblad, the public prosecution department has asked him to remain voluntarily in jail because it has not yet found him a place to live.

L has been served with 10 banning orders, to keep him away from places where his victims live including Den Bosch, Vught and Tilburg. He wants to move to Germany but the public prosecution department will not allow this because he will still be under court supervision.

L was arrested in June 2009 after a computer repairman found hundreds of suspect photographs and films on his computer. L ran a swimming school specialising in teaching handicapped children to swim.
