Lottery millionaire turns up after three months
The unwitting winner of a €1m lottery prize has turned up three months after the Lotto draw took place, news agency ANP reported on Wednesday.
The winner is a 57-year-old woman from Soest who was ‘not aware she had won such a large amount’, ANP said.
The lottery organiser Lotto had tried to contact her by phone, email and post without result. She eventually reported the win herself.
The woman, who has played Lotto since 2005, plans to use the money to take early retirement.
