Fewer families plan a summer holiday
The number of people planning a summer holiday this year has fallen by 3% or 300,000 people, as the recession continues to bite.
In total, some 10.6 million people are planning a summer break, of whom 2.5 million will holiday in the Netherlands, according to research by the Dutch tourist board. Spain, Italy and France remain the most popular foreign destinations.
