Easy World Cup qualifier win for Oranje over Romania

The Netherlands won its sixth World Cup football qualifier in a row on Tuesday night with a 4-0 home victory over Romania.

Rafael van der Vaart, replacing the injured Wesley Sneijder, scored the opener. Robin Van Persie then scored twice, taking the 29-year-old’s total to 34 international goals. Jeremain Lens made it four in the final minute.

The six wins means Oranje’s lead in Group D has stretched to seven points over second-placed Hungary.
