Dutch baseball team misses out on final
The Dutch national baseball team missed out on the final of the World Baseball Classic in San Francisco on Monday, losing 1-4 to the Dominican Republic in the semi-final.
The Dutch started well, making a run in the first innings while pitcher Diegomar Markwell kept the Dominicans in check. But as Markwell tired after the fourth innings, the Dominicans made their presence felt.
The final is on Tuesday night (Dutch time) between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
