Football club PSV Eindhoven has imposed the 'maximum penalty' on Jeremain Lens following a confrontation between the player and Feyenoord's Joris Mathijsen in the tunnels on Sunday.
The incident, in which Lens grabbed Mathijsen's shirt and had to be dragged away, was recorded by Nos television.
Lens has also apologised for his actions.
The money will go to a good cause. The total amount was not made public.
The Dutch football association KNVB is also looking into the incident.
