Parents and students worried about student loans

90% of parents with children at secondary school or in vocational training are worried about getting into deep debt when student grants are scrapped in favour of student loans.

Of the students questioned for the survey by student unions FNV Jong and LSVb, 60% said they are worried their studies would suffer because they will need to work more hours to earn money.

Among hbo college students and those on scientific courses, 70% said they will have to take multiple jobs when student loans are introduced.
