Five youths arrested in connection with violent attack, caught on video
Wednesday 27 February 2013
Five youths have been arrested following the broadcast of security camera footage showing a violent attack on a 25-year-old man in Oosterhout in Noord Brabant last month.
The video was shown by local broadcaster Omroep Brabant earlier this week and led to three youths turning themselves in to police. A fourth youth reported to police later and a fifth has also been picked up, Nos television said.
The five are aged 17 to 18 and come from the town.
Earlier this month, the broadcaster transmitted footage of an unprovoked attack in Eindhoven which caused a national outcry.
Eight youths were involved in that attack. Belgium is still considering whether to extradite five of the youths to the Netherlands to face charges.
