Retail group Macintosh to close some 10% of its stores

Tuesday 22 January 2013

The Macintosh Retail Group is planning to close 110 shops, of which the bulk will go in the Netherlands.

Macintosh has 1,000 outlets in the Benelux and the UK, of which 570 are in the Netherlands. Some 80 of the Dutch shops will shut.

The shops will be closed over a three year period.

Maastricht-based Macintosh operates the Dolcis, Scapino and Manfield shoe retailers and the Kwantum DIY chain.

When the supermarkets follow Macintosh, then you know it's a 'REAL' problem right?

(Sorry to the employees, hope you find other employment soon!)
