Dutch striker Sneijder finalises move to Galatasaray

Dutch striker Wesley Sneijder is poised to sign a 3.5 year contract with Galatasaray, the Turkish club said on its website.

Sneijder has been sidelined by Italian side Inter Milan for refusing to sign a new contract and his move to Galatasaray has been on the cards for weeks.

Dutch media reports suggest Galatasaray has agreed to pay €8m for the Dutch team captain.

‘It will be amazing and the atmosphere will be nice, I can’t wait to go there and play my first game,’ Sneijder told the club’s official website. ‘I will make the Galatasaray fans very proud and very happy.’
