Two men jailed for investment fraud

Two men have been jailed by a court in Dordrecht for their role in the multi-million euro fraud based on the Future Life investment company.

Jan Gerrit van der V and Henricus van W were sentenced to three and four years in jail for investment fraud.
They raised some €9m from wealthy investors, promising high returns of up to 18%. In practice, the money was spent on risky investments and maintaining their luxurious life style, news agency ANP reported.
Much of the money has disappeared and some 60 victims of the fraud are to try to recuperate their cash through the civil court system.
