PSV, which beat NAC Breda 6-1 in the weekend’s football action, and Twente, which beat AZ of Alkmaar 3-0, both have 40 points, but PSV is ahead on goal difference.
Ajax, which drew 0-0 against FC Utrecht on Sunday, has 37 points, as does Feyenoord, which beat FC Groningen 2-1.
PSV’s first game after the break is against relegation candidate PEX Zwolle on January 18 while Twente take on RKC Waalwijk on January 19. Ajax and Feyenoord play each other in the season classic in Amsterdam on January 20.
