Online brokers beat banks for investor service

Investors are happier with the service provided by online brokers than the big banks, according to research involving 8,000 people by Brokertarieven.nl.

Binck tops the list with a satisfaction ranking of 7.6, up 0.3 points on a year ago. Newcomer TradersOnly is second with a satisfaction rating of 7.5%, the Financieele Dagblad reported.

The big banks were bottom of the list of 11 brokers with ING trailing in 11th place with a rating of 6.2.

The survey was based on the quality of service and information. Costs were not taken into account, the FD said.
