Man jailed for 18 years for killing jeweller during armed robbery

A 20-year-old man has been jailed for 18 years for his role in an armed robbery on an Amsterdam jewellery shop, in which the owner was killed.


Judges in Amsterdam ruled Soufiane B was one of two men involved in the robbery in October 2010. The second robber has never been found.
B was also found guilty of involvement in several other offences, including an attack on a sex club, during which several customers and prostitutes were robbed.
B was traced using dna evidence taken from a shoe and shopping bag left at the scene of the jewellery store shooting.
