Four more arrested in football linesman death investigation

Four more people – three teenagers and a 50-year-old man – have been arrested in connection with the police investigation into the death of an amateur football linesman eight days ago.

The arrests bring the total to eight, including seven teenagers. All eight come from Amsterdam.
Twenty police officers are involved in the investigation into the death of Richard Nieuwenhuizen, who collapsed several hours after being kicked and punched after a match between two youth teams. He died in hospital a day later.
The four youths picked up last week have all been remanded in custody.
