Five police chiefs agree to pay cut

Five senior police officers have taken a voluntary pay cut to bring their salaries back in line with government rules on public sector salaries, justice minister Ivo Opstelten has told parliament.


The police chiefs made the gesture after a ‘moral appeal’ from the minister, Opstelten said. From January 1, the top salary for a police chief is €187,340.
