Crime prevention cost €774 per person last year

The Netherlands spent €13bn last year on combating crime and public nuisance, according to figures from the national statistics office CBS and quoted by RTL news.


That is the equivalent of €774 per person, about the same as in 2010, the CBS said. Between 2002 and 2009, spending on crime prevention rose by some 6% a year.
