The tv show Stand up to Cancer, which went out on Wednesday evening, netted nearly 40,000 new donors, Nos reports.

The cancer research association KWF said it has never had so many reactions from a tv show.
The programme featured performances by top names such as Karin Bloemen and the band Kane, interspersed with famous people talking about their experience with cancer in family and friends.
The KWF will announce how much money the action brought in in about two weeks’ time.
