Sinterklaas collapses at football club party

Thursday 29 November 2012

A Sinterklaas party at a football club in Apeldoorn went wrong on Wednesday afternoon when the man playing St Nicholas collapsed with a heart attack.

The man was rushed to hospital in Zwolle where he remains in a coma, RTL news said.

The children were immediately taken out of the room when Sinterklaas was taken ill and the party continued elsewhere. ‘The drama [of Sint collapsing] was enough for the children to deal with,’ club chairman Ton Peters told local paper De Stentor.

Tell them he's human also and that his little black slaves were not helping enough, making Sinterklaas do all the work...he had a burnout!

(Kids under 8 years old only.)

Tell the kiddies that the man playing Santa had a heart attack and died from eating too much fatty and sugary food.

Are you going to tell them Santa got real tired and fell over, and the reindeer flew him back to the North Pole so his band of elves can make them more presents? Kids have a great bullsh*t detector and don't like being fooled. Your credibility is at stake!

He was probably attacked by one of the players.

Hope the guy recovers, must have been quite a shock for his family. I'm sure the kids were easily distracted with other activities.
