Oranje sinks again on Fifa world rankings

Wednesday 07 November 2012

The Netherlands has slipped to seventh place in the Fifa rankings of the world's best football teams after being overtaken by Italy.

European and world champion Spain remains in the top spot, followed by Germany, Argentina and Portugal. Italy is in fifth place and England sixth.

Oranje topped the rankings in August 2011 but has slipped steadily since then.

I think it is a fair rank seeing how the defense has lost so much over the last year or two. I don't really understand how they dropped a rank though... Seeing as they won all four matches since the last published Fifa rankings.
