Wednesday 17 October 2012
Paints and coatings manufacturer Akzo Nobel said on Wednesday its CEO is expected back at work around the New Year.
Ton Büchner, who took over from Hans Wijers in April, has been off sick since mid-September and is rumoured to be suffering from burn-out. He had originally been due to return in October.
Medical specialists say he is now expected to make a full recovery, the company said.
Akzo Nobel shares rose nearly 3% at the news.
