Joland Sap declines to attend her farewell party

Jolanda Sap, the green party GroenLinks leader who resigned from parliament earlier this month, will not be attending her leaving party.

Sap resigned after losing the support of the party’s board following a drop in its parliamentary seats at the September general election from ten to four.
People attending the reception on Tuesday will be read a letter from Sap, who has not said why she is not attending in person.
A parliamentary spokesman said it is ‘unusual’ for an MP not to attend his or her farewell party, according to the Telegraaf.
