FC Twente retains top premier league position
FC Twente retained its position at the top of the premier league at the weekend with a 3-0 win over Alkmaar club AZ.
The Enschede club’s goals were scored by Nacer Chadli, Dusan Tadic and Luc Castaignos, helped along by the sending off of AZ’s Adam Maher and Jozy Altidore.
Eindhoven club PSV, currently second in the league, was at home to NAC Breda for an easy win of 4-0.
The next three down in the premier division, Vitesse, Ajax and Feyenoord, all drew their matches.
Amsterdam’s Ajax drew 1-1 against FC Utrecht, Rotterdam’s Feyenoord drew 2-2 against Groningen and Vitesse drew 3-3 against Heereveen.
