FC Twente continued their 100% start to the new season in this weekend’s football action with a 3-1 win at NEC Nijmegen.

Steve McClaren's side now have nine points from three games - two points ahead of the rest.

Amsterdam side Ajax had an easy 5-0 win over NAC Breda. Rotterdam's Feyenoord beat Heracles Almelo 2-1 while PSV Eindhoven booked a 3-1 win over FC Groningen.

AZ Alkmaar and Heerenveen had to settle for a goal-less draw.
