Teenage arson suspect arrested for torching 50 cars

A 19-year-old youth has been arrested in Maastricht on suspicion of setting fire to at least 50 cars in the Limburg town of Weert since 2009.

Police have refused to give further details about the arrest, news agency ANP reported.

Weert town council doubled the reward for information leading to an arrest to €10,000 in April but it is unclear if a tip-off led the police to the teenager, ANP said.
