The food safety authority said on Thursday it had found a haul of 1,000 kilograms of illegal antibiotics at a shipping company in Noord-Brabant.

The discovery was made after a tip-off from the Belgian police.

The authority says the antibiotics were probably intended for animal feed to speed up growth.

The public prosecutor is investigating. So far, no arrests have been made.
