Election: this time VVD and SP are head-to-head in poll

Wednesday 22 August 2012

The latest TNS Nipo opinion poll says both the Socialist Party and right-wing VVD are on target to win 34 seats in the September general election. The VVD currently has 31 and the SP 15.

Other polls have shown the SP to be stretching its lead over the VVD, headed by prime minister Mark Rutte.

TNS Nipo also puts the Labour party firmly in third place with 21 seats, several more than in other polls. The CDA is on 16 in the TNS Nipo poll and anti-immigration PVV on 14, 10 down on its current total in the 150-seat parliament.
