Eagle ray produces young at Burgers’ Zoo
An eagle ray has given birth to two young at Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem, the only zoo in Europe with a successful breeding programme for these fish.
Eagle ray, which can grow to a wing span of 1.7 meters, are susceptible to disease and are fed individually on a daily basis at the zoo to keep a close eye on their health.
