Bankruptcies rise 30%

Monday 13 August 2012

The number of bankruptcies in the first seven months of 2012 rose 30% to 4,475, the central statistics office CBS said on Monday.

This is not only more than in 2011 but also more than in 2009 when the economy shrunk, said the CBS.

In July, 725 companies went bankrupt, the largest amount in one single month for the past 20 years, according to the CBS.
