Arcadis forecasts 20% profit increase for 2012

Civil engineering group Arcadis on Thursday announced strong profit and turnover for the second quarter and an expectation of further growth in profit of 20% to 25% in 2012.

Net operational profit rose 28% to €23.6m on a year basis. Turnover rose 29% to €634m.
‘The strong results were helped by recent acquisitions such as EC Harris and Langdon & Seah, as well as by growth in Arcadis,’ the company said in a statement.
However, the situation in Poland was a blot on the good second quarter. Arcadis had to write off €5.3m on budget overruns.
