Football is a funny old game, even the better sides can still loose, it just wasn't Holland's day, well done to the Danes for surviving the Dutch onslaught. Good luck to Holland against Germany, they will need it.

Harry Redknapp Spurs Manager on BBC coverage of the match yesterday said he doesn't think Holland will qualify, and I am starting to agree. Germany looks pretty solid, and Portugal look pretty tasty too.. Dutch prospects are not looking good.

Nederland lost because they didn't play as a team. They didn't play like a team who are number four in the world.(Denmark are no 9)
There were too many prima-donnas, all wanting to get the goal & shooting when they had team mates available in better positions.
If they can get back to playing as a team they have a chance. If not they will be coming home a week from now.

@Bob: Yip, it is a fickle game. That is why I'd really like to see a best of 3 or a best of 5 type tournament.

Football is luck but you have to work hard to achieve that.the problem in dutch players was they were not
anxious for goal and they don't put a lot of energy to to look for equalizer.I wish them good luCk but I don't think they will manouver this time into a good place.let us see how they perForm the match.

Looking forward to watching Holland get hammered by Germany :)

Didn't see any Dutch onslaught, I must have been watching a different match? Denmark were all over Holland, plus scored the only goal.

It was Legoland vs Egoland. Legoland wins.

Mo Azzani I think you were watching another match. Holland was much stronger than Denmark but they just didn't score even though they had plenty of oppertunities. Denmark only had a couple but they utilized one and turned it into a goal

A very tasteless remark from pete. Obviously ignorant of the history between the moffen and the Dutch. I will be longing, praying for my Dutchies to hammer the Germans. Carol, pro Dutch- always!

@ Stupid, The fact that one-offgames can go iether way is what makes these tournaments exiting to watch.
