NS fined €125,000 by privacy watchdog

Dutch railway company NS has been fined €125,000 by the privacy watchdog CBP for keeping passenger information for too long.

The NS was warned last year if it kept the travel information contained on student smart cards for more than two years, it would be fined.
The CBP discovered in May the information had not been destroyed and has now issued the fine.
The NS is now following privacy rules, says the Telegraaf.
