McKinsey man gets SER top job

Wiebe Draijer, currently managing partner of management consultancy McKinsey Benelux, will take over as chairman of the government’s social and economic policy advisory body SER in September, the social affairs ministry confirmed on Tuesday.

The announcement had been scheduled for Friday but leaked out earlier.
The 46-year-old engineer, who is also a member of the innovation policy platform, takes over from Alexander Rinnooy Kan.
The Sociaal Economische Raad or SER is one of the government’s most important advisory bodies. The SER is composed of employers, trade unions and lay members and investigates policy ideas for the government.
