Farmers export more but incomes are down

Despite a 9% rise in the value of farm product exports, agricultural company earnings fell by 25% last year, according to new research from the agricultural economic institute Lei.


Rising costs were the main reason for the drop in income, with greenhouse and poultry firms hardest hit, Lei said.
