35 party names registered for September general election

Political parties have until the end of Monday to register their names for inclusion in the September general election, and 35 have already done so, news agency ANP reports.

Among the new parties are the Partij van de Toekomst (future party), Familia, Anti Europa Partij, the IQ Partij and the Partij Onze Nederlandse Samenleving (our Dutch society party).
The electoral council will announce later this week how many of the names have been approved. However, it will not be until the end of July before voters know how many parties will actually contest the election on September 12.
