Missing light aircraft found, passengers seriously injured (update)

Rescue workers have found the wreck of a light aircraft which went missing on the Tweede Maasvlakte near Rotterdam port. The four passengers are alive but seriously injured and it took some time to free them from the aircraft, according to media reports.

Two of the victims are said to be teenagers but it is not clear if the four people are related. Three have been taken to hospital in Rotterdam while the fourth victim was airlifted to a hospital in The Hague.
The Cessna plane disappeared from the radar around lunchtime and is thought to have run into trouble because of the heavy sea fog.
The plane was on its way from Middelburg in the south to Rotterdam airport. The pilot did not call for assistance, news agencies reported.
Efforts to find the plane were hampered by the thick mist which hit most of the Dutch coast on Monday.
