English football club Liverpool has made Ajax coach Frank de Boer their number one target to take over from Kenny Dalglish, the Sun newspaper reports.

The paper says Liverpool officials contacted De Boer over the weekend and the Dutchman has asked for time to consider the approach.
De Boer took the Amsterdam side back to its second Dutch league title in a row this season. According to some reports, Ajax has offered the former international an unlimited contract to stay on.
