DSM to open new research labs

Limburg-based chemicals group DSM announced on Tuesday it is to invest €100m in two new research laboratories which will create 700 new jobs.

The research centre in Sittard in Limburg will concentrate on the development of sustainable materials for use in the car and electronics industry.
In Delft in the province of Zuid-Holland, the focus will be on bio-technology. For instance, the development of enzymes for the food industry.
The laboratories are expected to open in 2014.
