Chinese investors interested in Scheveningen pier

A group of unnamed Chinese investors are interested in buying the Scheveningen pier, put up for sale by its owners earlier this year, Nos television reports.

The Hague city council executive Henk Kool had talks with the potential buyers during a trade mission to China recently and a second meeting will take place shortly, the broadcaster said. Kool described the Chinese group as a ‘serious’ candidate.
The Van der Valk hospitality industry family said two months ago they planned to sell the 300-metre pier because it is loss-making.
