Two more arrests in internet drug ring case – Update

Two more Dutch people have been arrested in connection with the internet drug ring case, although the authorities have not identified them, Nos reports.

Earlier on Tuesday police arrested a 42-year-old man from Lelystad on suspicion of leading the gang which sells drugs on the internet.
Seven other suspects were arrested in Colombia and the US, say press reports. The arrests follow a two-year investigation by the US department of justice, which has asked for the Dutchman and the man in Colombia, who is an American citizen, to be extradited.
According to the police, the names of the other two people arrested do not appear in the US indictment.
The eight original suspects are accused of selling and sending drugs, including LSD and ecstasy, under the name The Farmer’s Market. Between 2007 and 2009, they handled 5,200 orders and made over $1m.
