Police on strike over pay; stations temporarily closed

Police in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht are on a four-hour strike on Thursday, leading to the temporary closure of police stations.
Police will stop patrols and office work during the strike but will be available in emergency situations.
In Utrecht police stations will be closed from 9.00 until 13.00 hours. In Rotterdam from midday until 16.00 hours. In Amsterdam and The Hague between 13.00 and 17.00 hours.
Police unions are calling for a 3% pay rise and agreements on early retirement.
